Omega 3 - essential fatty acids for the health of all cells
Dose: 1 capsule daily

As science investigates Omega 3 essential fatty acids, their importance to our health becomes more and more apparent. It is now evident that all aspects of our health are influenced by our intake of these precious nutrients, whatever our age. That is why they are now added to baby foods and the Government now recommends we eat oily fish at least twice a week. But the drawback to this advice is that much of our fresh sea fish today contains high levels of pollutants such as mercury, organochlorines and heavy metals. This is one instance where the supplements are safer than the food sources, as it is a cleaned, stable, whole body fish oil supplement that is used in our Omega 3 fatty acid supplement, giving health benefits without any risk of pollutant toxicity.
Oily fish contains 2 essential fatty acids: eicosapentaeoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It is these components that are responsible for the health-promoting benefits of oily fish. EPA and DHA are highly anti-inflammatory and have beneficial activity in every organ and tissue in the body. They are particularly essential for healthy heart function, protection of blood vessels, brain tissue, healthy lungs, skin and joints. Although you can obtain omega 3 from plant sources such as flax oil (linseed oil), your body then has to convert the plant omega 3 into the metabolites EPA and DHA. This conversion process is not always efficient. So, although you get benefit from the fatty acids in flax oil, if you are looking for the superior protection offered by EPA and DHA you are better advised to use fish oil for this purpose.

The daily dose of 1 capsule of Omega 3 daily provides:
550mg EPA and DHA
